Musique à l’image
C’est dans son studio Arcipelagu que Stéphane Casalta se consacre à la musique à l’image.
Sa production suit des standards professionnels de qualité broadcast. Tous les stems sont disponibles en 48kHz / 24 bits, pour une utilisation fluide en post-production.
“ Je crée des chants et des mélodies originales en langue corse et en français, nourries par l’héritage des traditions vocales corses. Mon univers musical mêle polyphonies et monodies authentiques à des arrangements acoustiques, organiques et contemporains.”
La musique de Stéphane possède un fort potentiel de synchronisation pour les documentaires, films de voyage, nature, patrimoine, émotions humaines, portraits intimes, et tout projet à la recherche d’un lien sincère entre image et son.
Il réinterprète des chants traditionnels corses en leur offrant un nouvel écrin sonore, à la fois intime et ouvert sur le monde. Les voix corses, puissantes et sensibles, sont enregistrées en studio avec le plus grand soin, portées par des instruments acoustiques vivants, captés dans leur respiration naturelle.
Stéphane collabore avec plusieurs librairies musicales en France et à l’international, afin de diffuser ces créations et d’ouvrir des passerelles entre tradition, création et image.
Par ailleurs, une partie essentielle de son travail est nourrie par le lien profond au monde naturel.
“ J’aime composer à partir des sons de la campagne, du vent dans les arbres, des oiseaux, du craquement d’une branche, du chant de l’eau… Il m’arrive de devenir audionaturaliste, de partir avec mon magnétophone pour glaner des sons, capter des fragments de vie, et les transformer en textures sonores ou en instruments organiques.
Pour moi, tout commence par le son primordial - le plus brut, le plus essentiel, le plus vrai -. C’est de là que naît la musique. C’est dans ce souffle premier que réside l’émotion.”

He reinterprets traditional Corsican songs, offering them a new sonic setting — intimate, vibrant, and open to the world. The Corsican voices, raw and expressive, are recorded with precision in the studio, supported by live acoustic instruments captured in their natural resonance.
He collaborates with several music libraries in France and internationally, bringing these creations to the audiovisual world and bridging tradition and contemporary expression.
“A vital part of my creative process is a deep connection to the natural world. I often compose using sounds from the countryside — wind in the trees, birdsong, flowing water, creaking branches... At times, I become an audionaturalist, roaming with my recorder, gathering sounds along the way, transforming them into sonic textures, into natural instruments. For me, everything begins with the primordial sound - the rawest, the most essential, the most true -. It is from this source that music is born. It is within this first breath that emotion resides.”
